Easter Was Amazing

I can't even begin to tell you how cool Easter was for Eaglepointe! We have watched this church come so far and grow so much that at times it's just difficult to put into words. First of all, our Egg Hunt @ Pecan Creek Elementary went great. We think we had over 250 in attendance, and the important thing is that the kids had a blast! We got to connect with many new families to the area, and those attending were very appreciative for the event. Since we had been growing a lot this past year, the goal in many of our heart had been for us to hit 100 on Easter. With it being the week of spring break we just didn't know. On Sunday, we had 122! The best thing is that 3 people made decisions for Christ. All weekend long, we got to connect with so many new families, so as excited as I am about Easter I am even more excited about what God has in store for Eaglepointe in the future. I am just happy to be along for the adventure!

Who Doesn't Love a Good Egg Hunt?

This Saturday, we want to invite the Denton Community out to Eaglepointe's huge egg hunt! It is going to be a blast! We now have over 6,000 eggs, and we are going to give away tons of prize eggs away as well. We are holding the hunt at Pecan Creek Elementary play ground which is located at 4400 Lakeview Blvd. We will have bounce houses, face painting, and free hot dogs. The event is from 1 - 3pm, but the hunt starts @ 2pm. We hope to see you there!

Snow Day

Last Thursday was so stinkin awesome! It was our second time to receive snow in Denton in three days. What are those odds? I left the church around noon to run an errand, and as I was leaving the rain was starting to turn to some kind of funky snow/sleet mix. In about 5 minutes it was some of the thickest snow that I have ever seen! Other that the roads being a mess and it taking me a hour and a half to get home, it was an incredible day. This is a pic of our kids playing in the snow as we built a snow man and had one serious snow ball fight! The trees in our neighborhood were beautiful, and there were snow men in front yards everywhere. As for as cool memories with your family, it was one of those days that you knew would always be remembered.

Momentum

Webster defines momentum as strength or force gained by motion or through the development of events. As each week goes by at Eagle Pointe, that is the word that I feel best describes what God is doing here. Every Sunday I can't wait to see what is going to happen next. Last week, we not only had new individuals commit to lead key ministry teams in the church, but we once again had our largest attendance since I have been here as pastor. The leadership team and core of this church have a real heart for people and the community, and they are so excited about what is happening. Together we are becoming a place where people can connect to God and to one another, and that is the reason for the growth and the existing momentum.
