We now live in Denton!

I can now say with pride that we are now residents of Denton. I apologize profusely for my lacking of blogging the last few weeks. Our life has been crazy to say the least! Here's a brief recap of what happened last week: I drove to Houston on Tuesday & did some final packing, loaded the truck on Wednesday, got the bad news on Thursday that we wouldn't be able to close on our house, on our way home from Shanon's office our area experienced to joy of flooding, we got stuck on bridge for over an hour waiting for the water to recede, finally got back to our house and left for Denton about 7 pm, arrived here @ about 12:30am. We went to closing on our house here, and it looked like we wouldn't get into our house and may have to move all of our stuff in storage for a few days until our house closed in Houston. We had to just give it to God and pray. He is so awesome! Fortunately, everything went through great here, and the sellers agreed to lease the house to us until everything finalized. We got to move in around lunch on Friday! We totally love our new house here, and are so happy to get settled. For all of those who are apart of Eaglepointe, thank you so much for your prayers, the food you delivered, and your mad moving and unpacking skills. We can't wait to see the amazing things He has in store for us and this great church!

Blessing Those Who Bless Our Community

Here at Eagle Pointe, we have determined from the very beginning that we wouldn't exist just for ourselves. We want to find creative ways to serve our community. Last week, we got that started by blessing our local fire station. Our fire department does so much for our city, and we just wanted to thank them for it. We did this by serving them a delicious home cooked meal complete with smoked brisket, baked beans, potato salad, home-made banana pudding, and sweet tea. They were so appreciative, and it is obvious that they have a real heart to help people. As we left the station I felt very proud to be a part of Eagle Pointe, and I know that it's only the beginning of the great things that we can do for our community with God's help.
